VirtuaWin is a simple and versatile desktop manager with many functionalities. The program is really easy to use, and will allow you to configure up to 20 virtual desktops. Besides, switching from one desktop to another can be done easily by pressing configurable hotkeys or using your mouse.
Once the program is installed, on the setup window you can configure how many virtual desktops you want and how they will be positioned. That is, you will see a sort of grid with columns and rows and there you can have up to 20 virtual desktops. Besides, you can navigate through them by creating customized hotkeys, or by moving your mouse.
One great feature is that the program supports modules that you can download from the main website, and in this way add more functions.
Furthermore, the program also lets you establish and apply rules in order to improve the way that it handles certain types of windows.
On the other hand, just by pressing the left button of your mouse on the system tray icon, the program will display a small window with a list of actions that you can perform. From this window, you will be able to switch to any program or virtual desktop, move programs to different desktops, and establish the "always show" feature on any program.
The program can be run in Win9x/ME/NT/Win2K/XP/Win2003/Vista.
Finally, this new version (4.1) presents a new feature for the middle mouse button. Also, now you can return to the last desktop using a hotkey command, improving your navigation through desktops. Besides, many other errors have been fixed and other small improvements have been applied. |
